Joseph Okeme is an Assistant Professor in Chemistry and Chemical Biology, McMaster University, and a Scientist at the Occupational Cancer Research Centre, Cancer Care Ontario-Ontario Health (OCRC-OH), Canada. His interdisciplinary research program focuses on advancing our understanding of how non-genetic risks factors influence chronic disease. He teaches a sustainable chemistry course that explores risk management of hazardous substances across products lifecycle. His contribution to CE-RISE will involve risk management and tracking of WEEE as it pertains to low income countries.
