CE-RISE Partners are Ready for the Last Year of the Project

CE-RISE Orleans Consortium Group Photo

With only a year left from the project, our partners were keen to kick off discussions at our first consortium meeting of 2026 in Orléans, France.

During our two-day meeting, we caught up on the latest results from the past six months, such as:

  • CE-RISE framework for data quality
  • CE-RISE Information System front-end development
  • CE-RISE training materials (coming to your inboxes in a few months!)
  • Testing the repairability indicator: the difference between self-repair and technician repair, warranty, parts pairing and how RE-indicators are implemented in the software itself
  • The methodological work behind defining the circularity rate
  • Assessing the socio-environmental impact of RE strategies
  • Updates on our five pilot cases

Our agenda was equally filled with intriguing workshops:

  • Led by Setenay Saglam (Empa), we took our time to collectively assess RE-indicators which will support the development of the CE-RISE Information System.
  • Supported by Berend Mintjes (Leiden University) and Francesco Barilli (Empa), we discussed LCA calculations, the mechanism of how these datasets will power DPPs, and the minimum input needed from manufacturers, users, and repairers to make DPPs functional.

And a guest appearance from our hosts at BRGM, as they presented the MaDiTraCe PROJECT and its CERA 4in1, a certification system that implements solutions for tracking mineral raw materials along the entire supply chain. We were intrigued to learn more of MaDiTraCe’s experience in supply chain traceability!

Closing our time together on a high note, we went through cross-team needs and questions, leaving no stones unturned.

A huge thank you to Stéphanie Muller, Ph.D. from BRGM for hosting us as well as Miguel Las Heras Hernández, Mahsa Motevallian and Cristina B. B. Guerreiro for organising this meeting.
